What To Do with 500+ Grapefruit
When Brad Garrison moved into his Arizona home, the grapefruit tree in the backyard already looked promising.
Mature. Healthy. Productive.
But what he did not expect was just how far it could go.
From Skeptic to Believer
Brad is a divisional sales manager with Ewing Outdoor Supply, covering the Mountain West, including Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona. He had been introduced to ProPeat through other Ewing team members, but like many experienced professionals, he was initially skeptical.

The tree produced more than 500 grapefruits in a single season.
“I was blown away,” Brad said. “There was just a massive amount of fruit.”
While Brad did not track exact numbers from the previous year, the difference was hard to ignore. The tree showed stronger overall health, a fuller canopy, and a noticeably heavier fruit set than what he had seen before.
So much, in fact, that the weight caused branches to snap during late harvests.
But quantity was only part of the story.
Brad started sharing the fruit with coworkers, friends, and family, and the feedback was consistent.
“These are the tastiest grapefruits I have ever had.”
From fresh eating to homemade palomas, the fruit did not just look good. It delivered on flavor. Even months after harvest, the quality held strong.
His kitchen counter regularly filled with citrus, where he would stack them up for what he calls his “trophy pictures,” a simple way of showing just how much one tree produced.
From Backyard to Business
Brad’s role at Ewing means he works closely with sales teams and customers across the region, supporting everything from landscape contractors to sports field managers.
He had already seen ProPeat gaining traction in the field.
